Boxing

Veteran Training specializes in Military Boxing Technique and development programs. We offer the same training to those interested in entering the ring as those that choose not to. We train all Fighters to competitive level. There is no half way. We are Licensed & Certified USA Boxing Coaches and take that role seriously.

Our Veteran Training Boxing Program is a “full body workout” because it requires most of the human body’s physiological systems to work at once. Specialized resistance exercises and boxing specific equipment drills strengthen the musculoskeletal system. Boxing workouts are more than 60% anaerobic, which makes the cardio respiratory and vascular systems more efficient. Punching combination drills train the central nervous system to respond faster and more efficiently.

Specializing in gaining strength is a natural byproduct of the boxing workout. Our boxers work with weights, specialized boxing equipment we have developed and plyometric devices in a manner that maximizes calorie burn to increase lean muscle mass. The Veteran Training Fitness Boxing workout focuses on improving speed, strength, explosiveness and lactate threshold management while simultaneously keeping body fat at minimal levels.

As a cross training alternative, it provides a break in routine and adds variety to your overall training program. It distributes the load of training across various body parts. For endurance athletes who do a lot of running, this means a break from pounding your knee and ankle joints, while still getting an intense training session.

Mental toughness comes from learning to cope with the demands of a challenging workout. The more you work through a series of rounds that push you into your anaerobic zone, the better you will deal with intense endurance training or other demanding exercise routines.

Our Veteran Training Boxing experience includes fighting for and coaching the 82nd Airborne Championship Boxing Team to multiple Championship victories, sending Fighters to the World Class Athlete Program and participating, competing and winning multiple Golden Gloves Boxing Tournaments, Coaching at Fairtex Fight Camps and training the Champion New England Womens Golden Gloves.

Muay Thai
Veteran Training offers both Sport Muay Thai and Lerdrit Muay Thai. More commonly known as Thai Boxing this fighting system has been practiced throughout Southeast Asia for centuries. It is called the “Science of Eight Limbs", because the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art.

Lerdrit is a Thai form of martial arts taught and used by the Royal Thai Army. Using open hands instead of fists, it is basically a modified version of Muay Thai. Forward pressure, kicks, knees, locking, grappling, and elbows are all major concepts in Lerdrit.

Our Instructors have both Extensive backgrounds in both Civilian and Military forms after multiple deployments to cross train with The Royal Thai army during Operation Cobra Gold. Cobra Gold is a Multi Nation Military Training Exchange Program. This has only added to our fighting experience as Fairtex Instructors and Competitors. Like our Boxing Programs we teach fitness through fighters technique and not “fitness class” training.
